The IELTS examiner recruitment process 

To apply for this position, you need to possess the necessary education, teaching qualifications, and relevant experience as listed below:

  • A minimum three years experience in teaching English language 
  • CELTA or DELTA qualification or equivalent 
  • An interest in online education and assessment.

Assessments and interviews

All applications will go through a shortlisting process and successful applicants will be invited to interview.

The induction and training process

After the interview, successful applicants will be required to take part in an induction. Once the induction is completed successfully, applicants will then proceed to training.
The training will consist of two days of speaking assessment, which will be conducted by an Examiner Standards Manager.

Professional support

New examiners are monitored a minimum of three times in their first year and then at least once every two years, with a maximum of four evaluations in a single year.

All examiners receive written feedback on their performance to give them the opportunity to enhance their skills.
