Prodi English Language and Literature is one of the courses under the Faculty of Humanities, University of Andalas (Unand). The study program was formally established together with four other courses based on the decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 0538 December 8, 1983. At that time, FIB was named the Faculty of Letters, which was officially founded one year prior to the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 39 Year 1982. The program of study English Language and Literature was established to meet local needs for human resources with high competence in the field of English language and literature as well as the faithful and noble morals.
