Huaqiao University

Huaqiao University is a general higher education institution directly under the Central United Front Work Department and jointly built by the Central United Front Work Department, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Fujian Province. It is a national Chinese education base, a national university student cultural quality education base, a national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, and a national university teacher assessment reform demonstration school. In 1960, with the approval of Premier Zhou Enlai, the school was founded in Quanzhou, Fujian, with Liao Chengzhi as the first principal.
