University Aleksandër Moisiu

Aleksandër Moisiu University is the newest public academic institution of the Republic of Albania. The University is located in the ancient city of Durrës and has a branch in Peshkopi. It was inaugurated in 2006 and is using the American system of education, unlike the rest of the public universities in the country. More than 1,300 students started classes as of October 2, 2006, now in 2011 has more than 10,000 students. The faculty of the university are 1. Faculty of Economics and Administration (FEA), 2. The Faculty of Political Sciences and Law (FSHPJ), 3. Faculty of Information and Communications Technology (FTI), 4. Faculty of Education (FE), 5. Faculty of Integrated Studies with Practice (FASTIP), 6. Higher Professional School (SHLP), 7. Branch of Peshkopia.
