Following an overview of the test format, this interactive webinar takes a closer look at the key listening skill of prediction and how to ensure that learners are fully prepared for each of the four parts of the Listening test. Developing Higher Level Vocabulary for IELTS

By examining two key areas of Lexical Resource, flexibility and precision, this webinar presents strategies to help your learners break through the plateau and expand their vocabulary range. Classroom tasks and ideas, for you to use in your own lessons, will help you support learners by promoting the use of higher-level lexis across both the Writing and Speaking sections of IELTS.

IELTS Academic Writing Task 1

After a brief review of Academic Task 1, we will look at some key points and strategies to help our students produce a clear and logical description of the data. The key areas we will focus on are how to get our students to analyse the question and develop their visual literacy so that they can produce an appropriate overview. We will then go on to look at how to identify, select and organise the data into a coherent response.

Then will look at ways to help our students analyse the question, come up with ideas, and organise those ideas into a coherent essay.

After that, we will go through each of the 3 parts of the test looking at the challenges and suggesting some solutions. We will offer concrete activities that you can share with your students.
